PANAF 13

SHELF-LIFE EXTENDER

PANAF 13, is used to prolong shelf-life. This product is applied to the fruit and vegetable after it has been plucked, to extend the life on the shelf, to keep your fruits and Vegetables fresh for longer.

Objective:
The objective of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of PANAF 13 in preventing postharvest blue and green mould infection on mandarin fruit.

Results and Discussion:
The study found that the 1:20 PANAF 13 treatment, along with the standard commercial fungicide treatment, successfully prevented mould infection on the mandarin fruit. This suggests that PANAF 13 could be a viable alternative to traditional fungicides for preventing postharvest mould infections.

Fruit firmness serves as an indication of water loss by the fruit. The control group showed the highest degree of firmness loss, and PANAF 13 showed the least water loss, slightly better than the standard treatment. (See table (right)

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the study has shown that PANAF 13 at a concentration of 1:20 the potential to effectively control blue and green mould on mandarin fruit The results indicate that PANAF 13 is comparable to the standard commercial fungicide treatment, making it a viable alternative.

 

PANAF 13 offers a promising-natural and non-toxic solution for controlling mould on mandarin fruit.
